Richard Lindsay for

Kanawha County Circuit Court Judge
8th Division

Swift Justice • Proven Experience • Family Values

Richard Lindsay was born in Charleston and raised with West Virginia values of honesty, compassion, family, and hard work. He lives in Charleston with his wife of 16 years, Allison, a physician’s assistant at Cabin Creek Health Systems- Riverside, and their boys Richie and Patrick. He’s worked in our community from the moment he could as a grocery bagger at the Bigley Avenue Foodland, a glassworker at Southern Glass, a waiter at the old Heart of Town Holiday Inn, and unloaded boxes in South Charleston for UPS.

As an attorney, Richard has over 15 years of experience in the courtroom representing the interests of injured folks and families. In that time, he has been lead counsel or active co-counsel in twenty separate trials in Kanawha, Cabell, and Raleigh counties. Richard has represented his clients on all court levels from Magistrate Court to our Supreme Court of Appeals. As Judge, Richard will act swiftly, apply the law equally, and protect our families.

As a West Virginia State Senator from Kanawha County, Richard always sought to protect and support our men and women in law enforcement. He introduced, sponsored, and voted for measures that increased salaries for our West Virginia State Police, protected pensions for our local police and firemen, and provided retirement for our county deputy sheriffs.

He also introduced, sponsored, and voted for measures to protect our children from abuse and neglect, online predators, and those who illegally pass our stopped school buses.

Finally, he has fought against the drug epidemic; introducing, sponsoring, and voting for measures that increase penalties for methamphetamine possession and distribution, and fentanyl possession and distribution. Given this extensive record, he is the law-and-order judicial candidate
